Q: Why Should I join IPHM?
Ans: The IPHM is run independently from any college or awarding body, and therefore will accept appropriately qualified therapists equally and fairly. We exist to maintain Standards and support holistic practitioners. As such we are dedicated to recognised standards of qualification and practice. We can provide you with a certificate from IPHM as further confirmation as a professional therapist. As a member you will be entitled to be added to our directory of professional practitioners and advertise your services. If you require a therapy badge this is also included and you will be entitled to use the letters IPHM after your name. Join Now
Our aim is to provide a diverse array of Therapists and Health Practitioners the opportunity to join our Institute at a low cost. We know that new practitioners need to develop their profile so with this in mind we offer an affordable service for our members.
Q: Do I get a discount on Holistic Insurance If I have studied a distance learning course?
Ans: As a member of IPHM you will qualify for a special discount when requesting insurance with our recommended insurance provider Westminster. Westminster Indemnity offers comprehensive cover for most correspondence and distance education courses also. As an insured practitioner this will be listed next to your name.
Q: I am not insured, can I still join IPHM?
Yes you can still join IPHM on completion of your application form and subscription.
Q: What kind of training, therapies and qualifications does the IPHM recognise?
Ans: The IPHM now recognise over 400 complementary/natural/holistic and spiritual therapies. If you are unsure whether your therapy is recognised then please see "Therapies Covered" If your particular therapy is not listed then please contact us.
Q: I don’t just practice my therapies I also teach them, am I covered for teaching my courses?
Ans: If you intend to teach students to become qualified practitioners then an assessment of what you are providing in the way of tuition and course material may be required to evaluate your qualifications. As an IPHM Approved training provider you are then entitled to advertise this on your training materials and advertising and use our logo to denote your affiliation. To qualify for this status you are required to be a Full IPHM Corporate Member and meet the IPHM’s Approved Training Provider Status requirements. Should you also wish to practice your therapies and use the letters iphm after your name then you can also request therapist membership.
Q: What if my overseas qualifications are not in English?
Ans: You will be required to have your qualifications officially translated by a certified translator. You will be required to submit a copy of the translation with your IPHM membership application.
Q: I have received my training and qualifications outside of the UK, can I still join the IPHM?
Ans: Yes, we accept Practitioners and Therapists who have gained their qualifications internationally, provided their certification and training meets our criteria and internationally recognised standards.
Q: I am not qualified in Natural Therapies but I give treatments, can I become an Affiliate Member of the IPHM?
Ans: No. You must provide proof of your qualifications or training provider. If you are a student currently training you cannot become a member of our association until you are officially qualified. Please note you may be asked for proof of your qualifications.
Q: I am currently working as a holistic practitioner do I need insurance?
Ans: The IPHM strongly recommend that you have insurance if working with the public and in most cases this is a legal requirement. You may as a member working in the UK obtain insurance with our affiliate Westminster Indemnity.
Q: I am from outside Europe can I still join IPHM? (worldwide acceptance)
Ans: Yes we accept membership from anyone whom is a qualified therapist worldwide.

Ans: The simplest way is to Subscribe and download your application form directly from our website. Your payment can be made by using either Paypal - Credit or Debit Card.
