I am so proud and genuinely emotional to share that IPHM has been named the winner of the Special Recognition Award at the Janey Lee Grace 2026 Platinum Awards.
The award recognises IPHM for raising professional standards and championing excellence across the global therapy community, and honestly, I cannot think of words that mean more to us.
This recognition feels incredibly special, not just because it is an award, but because of what it represents.
For us, IPHM has always been about people:
- The practitioners quietly changing lives.
- The therapists holding space for others.
- The coaches, healers and training providers doing thoughtful, ethical and meaningful work.
- The people who often work behind the scenes, supporting others through some of the most personal parts of their lives.
To have that work recognised in this way means such a lot.
Why this award means so much
When you are in the day-to-day of running an organisation, it is easy to keep moving without always stopping to reflect.
There are applications to review, members to support, training providers to guide, questions to answer, systems to improve, and always more we want to do to make the experience better for the people who trust us.
So to receive an award that recognises our commitment to raising professional standards and championing excellence feels like a real moment to pause and say: this matters.
Because professional standards in the holistic world do matter.
They matter for practitioners, training providers, clients and for the reputation of the industry as a whole.
The holistic and complementary therapy world is full of incredibly skilled, caring and knowledgeable people. But for too long, this work has not always been given the recognition it deserves.
At IPHM, we want to be part of changing that.
We want practitioners to feel proud of the work they do. We want training providers to feel supported in delivering high-quality learning. We want clients to feel confident when choosing someone to work with.
And we want the wider world to see the professionalism, care and integrity that already exists across this community.
A global community we are proud to support
IPHM is an international organisation, and one of the things I feel most grateful for is the incredible range of practitioners and training providers we support across the world.
Every member brings something different.
Different modalities, backgrounds, lived experiences, ways of working and communities they serve.
And that is something to be celebrated.
We do not believe the holistic industry needs everyone to look, sound or practise in exactly the same way. There has to be room for individuality, intuition, personality and lived experience.
But alongside that, there also has to be responsibility:
- Safe practice
- Ethical practice
- Clear boundaries
- Appropriate training
- Professional standards
- Care
That balance is at the heart of IPHM.
We believe the holistic world can be warm, human and deeply personal, while still being professional, credible and committed to excellence.
This is not just our award
Although I am incredibly proud of IPHM, this award does not belong to one person.
It belongs to our incredible team, who work so hard behind the scenes to support our members and keep improving what we do.
It belongs to our training providers, who are passionate about sharing their knowledge responsibly and helping others develop their skills.
It belongs to our practitioners, who show up for their clients with care, compassion and professionalism.
And it belongs to every person in our community who believes that holistic therapy, coaching, healing and wellbeing work deserve to be taken seriously.
Because that is why this recognition matters.
It is not just about IPHM receiving an award.
It is about this industry being seen and the work of our members being valued.
It is about continuing to raise the standard, not in a cold or corporate way, but in a way that protects, supports and celebrates the people doing this work.
Thank you
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Janey Lee Grace and the Platinum Awards for this very special recognition.
Thank you for seeing the value in the work IPHM does and for recognising the importance of championing excellence across the global therapy community.
And most importantly, thank you to our IPHM members.
You are the reason this work matters.
Every time you support a client, teach a student, hold space, create a course, develop your practice or choose to keep learning, you are helping to shape the future of this industry.
We are so proud to stand beside you.
This award is a beautiful reminder of how far IPHM has come, but also of how much more there is still to do.
We will continue raising standards, championing excellence, supporting practitioners and training providers across the world and we will continue doing it with the same care, heart and belief in this community that we have always had.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
