Ben Dale – Reiki Practitioner & Holistic Massage Therapist

Ben Dale is a qualified Reiki practitioner and holistic massage therapist, and a registered paediatric and complex needs nurse with over 24 years’ experience working in healthcare, disability support, and safeguarding.
Ben offers gentle, trauma-informed Reiki and holistic massage, including deep tissue work where appropriate, focused on relaxation, nervous-system regulation, and emotional and physical settling. His approach is calm, consent-led, and adaptable, making his work particularly suitable for individuals who experience sensory sensitivity, chronic pain, emotional overwhelm, neurodiversity, or long-term health conditions.

Holistic & Deep Tissue Massage:

Ben’s massage practice is grounded in safety, presence, and regulation rather than force or performance. Sessions may include slow, nurturing holistic massage and, where clinically appropriate and agreed, deep tissue techniques to support areas of long-held tension or pain.

Deep tissue work is always:

  • Client-led and consent-based
  • Applied gradually and responsively
  • Adapted to support regulation rather than endurance integrated within a holistic, whole-body approach.

This style of massage can be particularly helpful for people who:

  • Live with chronic or persistent pain
  • Carry tension linked to stress or trauma
  • Need therapeutic depth without aggressive pressure
  • Benefit from a balance of grounding and release
Reiki Therapy:

Ben also offers Reiki as a gentle, non-verbal complementary therapy that supports relaxation, emotional regulation, and a sense of calm. Reiki may be especially helpful for those who find talking therapies difficult, or who benefit from settling the nervous system before or alongside counselling or psychological support.
Professional background
Drawing on his clinical nursing background, Ben works to high standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and ethical practice. His work is informed by an understanding of trauma, sensory processing, and complex health needs.

Ben has a specialist interest in:

  • Disability and neurodiversity
  • Chronic pain and long-term health conditions
  • Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
  • Sensory regulation and emotional wellbeing

*Reiki and holistic/deep tissue massage are offered as complementary therapies and do not replace medical or psychological care.*
