Christos Koumaradios, PhD
Founder – NeuroSpiritual Therapy School
Integrative Health Scientist & Neuroregulation Educator

Christos Koumaradios, PhD, is the Founder of NeuroSpiritual Therapy School and developer of the NeuroSpiritual Approach, an integrative, state-based educational framework bringing together nervous system regulation, mindfulness, body awareness and behavioural change.

His work focuses on the relationship between physiological state, attention, emotional regulation, behaviour and identity. A central principle of his approach is that sustainable change involves not only cognitive understanding, but also developing awareness of and the capacity to regulate the physiological states from which patterns of behaviour emerge.

Academic & Professional Background

Christos holds a PhD in Integrative Health Sciences from Selinus University of Science and Literature. His doctoral research, NeuroSpiritual Psychotherapy: A Transdisciplinary Model for Trauma, Attention, and Soul Reintegration, explored an interdisciplinary framework incorporating trauma neurobiology, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, somatic awareness, neuroplasticity and identity.

His professional education includes:

• Level 7 Diploma in Psychology (RQF – Postgraduate Level)
• Level 5 Diploma in Counselling
• Level 4 Diploma in Mindfulness Teaching
• Training in MBSR, MBCT, ACT, DBT and Compassion-Focused approaches
• NeuroMeditation training incorporating EEG-informed state awareness
• Training in non-clinical Biofeedback and Neurofeedback applications
• Integrative Health and Supplement Science
• HeartMath trauma-sensitive training through The Resilient Heart, with emphasis on self-regulation, resilience and heart–brain coherence

Alongside his formal education, Christos has more than 14 years of personal practice in mindfulness and meditation. This long-term experiential foundation informs his educational work in attention training, interoceptive and body awareness, state observation and self-regulation.

The NeuroSpiritual Approach

The NeuroSpiritual Approach is an integrative educational and experiential framework organised around five core areas:

1. Bottom-Up Regulation
Developing awareness of body-based and physiological processes involved in nervous system state and self-regulation.

2. Top-Down Awareness
Strengthening mindfulness, attention, meta-awareness and the capacity to observe internal experience with greater clarity.

3. State Transition Training
Developing practical skills for recognising patterns of activation, shutdown and functional freeze, and supporting more adaptive transitions toward engagement and action.

4. Identity Reconstruction
Exploring how repeated physiological, attentional and behavioural patterns contribute to self-perception and identity, and how new patterns can be developed through structured practice.

5. Heart–Brain Coherence
Incorporating practices designed to support emotional self-regulation, physiological coherence and embodied awareness.

Professional & Educational Services

Through NeuroSpiritual Therapy School, Christos provides professional education, structured training programmes, mindfulness and meditation education, nervous system regulation training, workshops and experiential learning programmes.

His educational work focuses particularly on nervous system regulation, mindfulness, functional freeze and shutdown patterns, interoceptive awareness, attention and meta-awareness, embodied communication, behavioural patterns, identity development and the relationship between physiological state and human behaviour.

His approach is integrative and educational in scope and is designed to support self-awareness, self-regulation, personal development and professional learning. It does not replace medical, psychiatric or psychological diagnosis or treatment.
