About Cinzia Sarigu
Cinzia Sarigu is a shamanic practitioner, Mayan Ajq'ij (spiritual guide, teacher, and ceremonialist), and founder of Ixchel Healing Arts, based at the Findhorn Ecovillage in Scotland.
Ixchel Healing Arts offers one-to-one sessions, shamanic courses, retreats, sacred site journeys, women's circles, and ceremonies.
Sessions are held online and in person, serving clients and students across Europe, the Americas, and beyond, in English, Italian, and Spanish.
The Work & Approach
The work is earth-based and ceremonial, drawing on Mayan, Toltec, and Sardinian traditions.
Ceremonies work with the natural elements: fire, water, stone, and the living forces of the natural world. Plant medicine is not part of this work.
Background & Lineage
Originally from Sardinia, Cinzia's path into shamanism unfolded organically over many years of living and working alongside indigenous communities in Mexico and Guatemala, as a project coordinator, permaculture teacher, and therapist.
This long-term, immersive engagement with Mayan and Toltec traditions led to formal initiations within both lineages, and she was recognised as an Ajq'ij, a Mayan daykeeper and ceremonial guide, by indigenous elders.
She has also trained in Canada, deepening her foundation in shamanic and ceremonial practice.
Teaching & Experience
Her background in permaculture design and teaching continues to inform her approach to healing and education, rooted in the relationship with the intelligence of nature.
Over the years she has taught a wide range of courses to hundreds of students across three languages.
With over twenty years of experience, she works full time online and in situ.
