Jelena Holodkova | Expanded States Academy
I’m a breathwork facilitator and trainer based in Ibiza, and the founder of Expanded States Academy. I train therapists, coaches, facilitators and wellness practitioners to guide conscious connected breathwork with care, skill and presence.
My own path into this work started after 13 years in London corporate banking industry. Breathwork was the practice that changed things for me. Since then I've trained in Rebirthing Breathwork, Somatic Breathwork (SOMA+IQ™) and facilitator skills with Dan Brulé (BreathMastery) and I’ve since guided thousands of breathwork journeys, privately and in groups. My work is also informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), polyvagal theory, Compassionate Inquiry and yogic studies.
Expanded States Breathwork™ Teacher Training
This is a 50-hour professional training for practitioners who already work with people and want to add breathwork to their practice. It isn’t a beginner course. Each cohort is capped at 16 participants, and cohorts run several times a year in different locations.
The training combines four in-person days with three online integration calls and a supervised practicum.
Over the four days we cover:
- Trauma-informed foundations: nervous system cues, pacing, consent and boundaries
- Guiding expanded states through breath, rhythm, sound and attunement, without substances
- Supporting emotional and somatic release safely
- Energetic literacy and intuitive facilitation
- Voice, verbal guidance and the use of silence
- Consent-based touch and hands-on support
- Music and journey design
- Integration and closing a session well
- Developing your own facilitation style
Participants practise on each other, run supervised sessions with real breathers and get direct feedback. Graduates who complete the full requirements are certified as Expanded States Breathwork Facilitators.
