Giada Fierabracci – Dietitian & Mindfulness Facilitator
I am a dietitian and mindfulness facilitator, and I train helping professionals who want to bring mindfulness, body awareness and Mindful Eating into their work in a safe, gentle and non-prescriptive way.
My interest in mindfulness began around fifteen years ago, during my university years. While living in England, I had the opportunity to practise at a mindfulness centre under the guidance of a teacher, and since 2020 I have pursued systematic professional education in mindfulness, self-compassion, trauma-sensitive and embodied approaches, Mindful Eating, Intuitive Eating, body image, neurodiversity and weight inclusivity. Over time, this path has shaped both my clinical work and the way I teach.
My training: Mindfulness and Trauma-Sensitive Mindful Eating in Professional Practice
This online programme is designed for professionals working with people, the body and food: dietitians and nutritionists, psychologists, doctors, rehabilitation professionals, educators and other helping professions. No previous mindfulness training is required.
Over 7 live sessions, guided individual practice and a final applied project, participants explore:
- the foundations of mindfulness and self-compassion;
- how to create safety within the professional relationship;
- body awareness and embodied, trauma-sensitive practices;
- inner dialogue, judgement and internalised rules around food and the body;
- Mindful Eating from a non-prescriptive perspective: hunger and satiety, “forbidden” foods, guilt, emotional eating and sensory awareness;
- picturebooks and creative tools as gentle facilitators;
- professional boundaries and when to collaborate or refer.
The approach is experiential: participants don’t just learn the theory, they experience the practices first-hand, reflect on them and design a concrete way to integrate them into their own professional context. A 2-month follow-up supports them as they begin applying what they have learned.
My approach
I teach with curiosity, non-judgement and graduality. I believe that the way we are present with people matters as much as the tools we use, and that every tool should be adapted to the person, the context and the limits of our professional role.
The course is taught in Italian.
