The Pi-Psy Institute was founded by two teaching enthusiasts who, after having worked at the PSL University of Excellence, chose to share their skills with the professional world, after having noticed a gap between scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and their application in the field of psychotherapy.

Research, innovation and teaching are part of the DNA of our institute, which is why we have created training programs that break with the traditional teaching of psychology in France, aiming to integrate the latest discoveries in neuroscience and engineering sciences into the field of applied psychology through a neurocognitive approach. Our training courses follow a quality approach, corresponding to our Qualiopi certification.
Innovations are regularly emerging in the field of mental health, notably thanks to the contributions of statistical learning. These innovations bring hope at a time when psychological suffering is particularly present.

The Covid-19 health crisis has indeed induced severe stress, and provoked or aggravated anxiety-depressive states in millions of people in France. It has even led to the appearance of suicide phenomena in young children.

The problem is that in France, scientific advances are not accessible enough to the general public. This can be explained by several factors: the French scientific backwardness in terms of psychotherapy research, the emphasis placed on diagnosis to the detriment of care in university courses, the hegemony of psychoanalysis and the massive use of drug treatments.

In addition, CBT (cognitive and behavioral therapies) are still very expensive, with rates that can reach 140 € per session in the Ile-de-France region. The poorest people, who are the most affected by psychological disorders, cannot therefore benefit from this innovative care.

These observations led us to create the Pi-Psy Institute. Our objective is twofold: to modernize and democratize the approaches of psychotherapy and applied psychology. To achieve this goal, we act on several levels: research, training, care and information. The Pi-Psy Institute has a truly unique role in France. By combining digital tools, scientific expertise and a supportive approach, it aims to facilitate access to CBT and modernize care. It relies on innovation to reduce the suffering of all, including the most vulnerable.
