Nikki Emerton and Laura Shipp's journeys began at a similar time and from a similar starting point, both qualifying in NLP, hypnotherapy and coaching at the same training institute. Nikki was Laura's examiner for her practical exam.

Laura then moved into the somatic work of Systematic Kinesiology® and naturopathic nutrition. Nikki continued to specialise in the mind-body connection and mindset and more recently moved into training.

What makes us different is that both Nikki and Laura found the need for both the major brains in the body (mind-brain and gut-brain) to be aligned as well as considering the entire energetic body and individual in order to achieve the health and happiness that their clients yearned for.

We are the only organisation to incorporate mind, body, gut and energetic body-work into our therapies. After a period of cross-referring regularly and sharing client success stories, Nikki and Laura realised they needed to join forces formally. The Mind Body Gut Company was born.

Soma-Psych Alignment® (SPA for short) is a new trauma-based modality developed by Laura Shipp and Krystyna Lawson-Iles.

Krystyna and Laura found by combining several of their existing modalities they effectively supported clients in releasing trauma for good.

Many people understandably do not want to discuss previous trauma as it can often be triggering, further inhibiting its release. SPA very much works on the principle that you do not need to verbally share or relive the trauma - you can simply allow your physical body to communicate for you. By releasing old trauma, you leave unhelpful memories and experiences behind that are stopping you from moving forward and living the life you deserve.

The SPA technique aligns the soma (body) with the psych (mind).

Our three day SPA technique training is open to existing practitioners of most modalities.
 

We now offer a range of services:

A group membership that meets fortnightly, live online with either Laura or Nikki available to help you overcome your problems.

A 15-week group programme where Laura and Nikki will take you through a tried and tested programme to empower you to live your fullest, healthiest and happiest life.

Self-led online mindset programmes so that you can change any limiting or destructive inner dialogue.

1-2-1 with either Nikki or Laura aimed at dealing with specific issues.

Training to become a therapist or enhance your skills and techniques for existing therapists.
