The Somatic Academy™
About the Academy
The Somatic Academy™ is a professional certification program for women who feel called to bring nervous system education, somatic work, and breathwork into the way they support others.
Our Founders & Approach
Co-founded by Becca Nicholls and Cassie Kovacs, the academy welcomes coaches, practitioners, service providers, and women beginning a new professional path. Our training brings the body and nervous system into the conversation, helping students develop a deeper understanding of the people they work with - and themselves.
Training & Curriculum
Our comprehensive curriculum includes 14 live educational modules covering:
- Nervous system foundations
- Somatic awareness
- Trauma-informed practice
- Emotional processing
- Breathwork science and safety
- Session facilitation
- Business integration
Students receive experiential demonstrations, live Q&A support, direct access to both founders, a private community, and lifetime access to training materials.
In-Person Immersion & Certification
The program culminates in a mandatory five-day, in-person immersion where students facilitate live sessions, receive individual feedback, and complete practical certification assessments. Certification is earned through written exams, demonstrated facilitation skills, and ongoing integration of the material.
Certifications Awarded
Graduates receive three certifications:
- Trauma-Informed Nervous System Coach
- Somatic Practitioner
- Breathwork Practitioner
