AET - Level 3 Award in Education & Training

IPHM DIPLOMA COURSE - Equivalent to Level 3 Teaching

This IPHM course in Teacher Training is ideal for therapists, beauty consultants, healers etc. who would now like to provide teaching to others.

When you have successfully completed this course you will be awarded a fully recognised and accredited diploma qualification awarded to you by the IPHM. This course is equivalent to a Level 3 teacher training course and therefore we will be happy to accept training providers who have undertaken this course if they do not already hold a teaching qualification.  Please check our Pre-Requisites if offering teaching.

  • Develop your delivery skills
  • Enable effective planning and evaluation of training sessions
  • Provide practical assessment methods
  • Promote inclusive learning
  • Ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in training and development.

Part one - is about the teacher, teaching methods and teaching styles and shows you how to leave your comfort zone to ensure you cater for other learning styles (not only your own);

Part two - is about the student, what different styles of learning there are, how to identify them and how to ensure your teaching covers all the teaching styles without becoming repetitive;

Part three -  is about assessment and feedback, what different assessment methods can be used, how to know if a student is ready for assessment, how to provide effective feedback that motivates the student and drives improvement to prepare them for assessment.

Study Time: approximately 80 - 100 hours study time including the practical element and one case study to be submitted for exam purposes.

This qualification can help you to progress in teaching/training and support roles in a wide range of organisations in the lifelong learning sector including Further Education, Adult and Community Education.

Completing a Case Study - For your case study you need to plan out a lesson and assessment plan.  If you have the opportunity to teach it, please do, then evaluate it stating how you would improve it in future and how you think it went.  This is, in effect, the case study.

You don’t need an assessors signature or anyone to watch you teach, this is all about your ideas and how you would go about delivering an effective lesson.  You can also get feedback from your students as to how they found it and include in the evaluation section summary, although this isn’t necessary.
